Sabrina Carpenter has somehow become more iconic overnight, if you can believe it.

singerrrr has just released her new single "Please Please Please" and the accompanying music video, and we can't determine if the lyrics or her casting choices are the worst part of all this.

The song is about dating someone new, and her friends warn her about the red flag, and in the lyrics she implores, "Said love interest not to annoy me, Mazarf*** er."

Elsewhere, she sings, "I promise you that you are different, everyone makes mistakes /but just don't/ stand up because I heard you were an actor

The fans got a little help from Taylor Swift's producer/bestie Jack Antonoff." While Carpenter would have made a link between the lyrics he wrote himself and the singer's boyfriend Barry Keegan, the "Espresso" hitmaker took a guess from the game by literally casting an Irish actor in her music video.

In it, Carpenter and Keoghan's characters meet in prison, just as she is released and he is taken. Then, throughout the video, as Carpenter's friends seem disapproved, Keoghan gets into fights with some dubious characters and engages in a bunch of unpleasant behaviors, including stealing a lot of money.

Obviously, the fans were completely obsessed with everything about this. When Keoghan posted a promotion of the video on Instagram, everyone fainted.

"The best hard launch I've ever seen," wrote the official Tinder account.

"I have to sit down," someone else commented.

"The gasping became intense," another said.

Begged someone else, "Never break up for the love of God."

The music video has over 2.5 million views at the time of writing, and "Please Please Please" has already been a hit. But obviously, it will be hard to beat the "Espresso" that has raised all the charts, and counting celebrity fans, including Adele and Kate Hudson — not to mention that the lyrics have been decorating the Instagram captions of all their friends since they came out.

As for Carpenter and Keoghan, they confirmed their relationship earlier this year and have been publicly thirsty over each other since. Oh, young love!
