In the British "social wedding of 6/7 10 years", guests (including Prince William) are asked to follow this interesting rule

Less than 48 hours from what the Daily Mail calls a "10・year society wedding","Olivia Henson, 31, will marry the Duke of Westminster and Hugh Grosvenor, 33, will be the Duchess of Westminster." The couple were due to marry at Chester Cathedral on 6/7 and the couple chose "both for their beauty and for their long relationship with the Grosvenor family, including the Duke personally," a spokesperson for the couple said, according to the Sun. The spokesperson added that "Cheshire is the ancestral home of the Grosvenor family and we would like to plan a wedding there as the connection between Miss Henson and the area continues to grow."

Grosvenor's parents, the late 6th Duke of Westminster and Natalia Phillips, were also married in the cathedral in 1978-10-7.

Following Friday's wedding service, guests will be invited to a reception at nearby Eton Hall on the Grosvenor's 11,000-acre estate.

The Times calls the upcoming wedding "the most royal non-royal wedding of the year" with members of Britain's oldest and richest aristocratic family heading north."The couple will be introduced to each other's friends in 2021/10, become a couple and marry after announcing their engagement in 2023/4.People say the Grosvenor family's net worth is estimated atド12.8 billion, and the Duke of Westminster inherited it after his father died in 2016.

Perhaps appropriately, the bride and groom are asking about 400 guests to comply with a "strictly no gift policy," the Sun reports.

The wedding is not a royal wedding, but adjoins the royal family, but much of the topic surrounding it was whether to attend, as both Prince William and Prince Harry are close friends of the groom (they are the Godfather of both their eldest sons, Prince George and Prince Archie, respectively). Marie Claire reported today that Harry refused the invitation because of "understanding between 2 friends" (Harry and Grosvenor) — and perhaps at least in part

"It's incredibly sad to have come to this," said a friend speaking to the Sun. Hugh is one of William and Harry's very few close friends who have maintained a strong bond and a line of communication with both. He wants them to be able to put their heads together and fix things, but realizes that it is unlikely that it will happen before the wedding.

In addition, no one wanted to cover up the day — especially for the bride, Henson — and no one wanted awkwardness, the Sun reports.

Royal writer Phil Dampier told the Sun that Grosvenor had spoken to Harry on the phone, who "accepted his dilemma": "Harry is probably very angry that he has not come, because he has been close to the Duke for many years," Dampier said."Harry is very angry that he is not coming," said Dampier. "But it was just a non-starter. If he had come, he would have been ordered to his seat by William, the guide, and the friction was clear to all to see, and Harry had to resent William's prominent role, and the brothers are as far apart as ever, but Harry understands the problems of the Duke of Westminster. This is another example of how sad we have come to this, and William and Harry are in such bad conditions.1 It is causing distress not only for them, but also for their friends.

About a month before the wedding, Henson and Grosvenor visited their wedding venue, Chester Cathedral, to highlight some of the causes the family's Westminster Foundation works with, people report. "Local business groups also revealed on May 30 that the couple paid for the traditional display of 100,000 flowers to be planted throughout the city in the coming weeks as part of their wedding festivities," the outlet wrote.

A spokesperson for the couple said in a statement: "They are very grateful for all the support and kind wishes they received from people and organizations prior to the wedding.”
