Taylor Swift recalls shouting "But Daddy I love him" during the 10th "tantrum" of the clip that was played

Taylor Swift foresaw her song "But Daddy I Love Him" about 16 years before her song "But Daddy I Love Him" came out.

In a resurfaced interview with Popsugar in 2008, the singer described how her Banger "Love Story" was born.

"This song wrote it right after my one epic teenage tantrum I've ever thrown in my life," she said. "I remember shouting things like, "But Daddy I love him!""Then ran and rushed into my room, slammed the door, and then I sat on the floor and wrote [it]."

"Love Story" from the album Fearless included the lyrics "That you were Romeo, you were throwin' pebbles/And my daddy said,'Stay away from Juliet."

The 2024 track "But Daddy I Love Him" (Tortured Poets Department) contains echoes of a "love story" about forbidden love, but this time the disapproval seemed to come from Swift's fans, not from her dad.

Although Swift thought this song was about their favorite former Harry Styles before coming out (he once wore with the word "Harry Styles"). The widely accepted story is that now it's about her fans who have disapproved of her love affair with the controversial musician circa 2023.

In what appears to be a response to criticism of her choice to date Healy, Swift sings on the track, "I'll tell you something now/I'd rather burn my life/than listen to one more second of all this bitchin' and moanin'/ I'll tell you something / I'd rather burn my life/Than listen to another second of all this bitchin' and moanin'/ I'll tell you something/I'll tell you something/I'll tell you something/I'll tell you something/I'll tell you something/I'll tell you something/I'll tell you something/I'll tell you something/I'll tell you something/I'll tell you something/I'll tell you something/I'll tell you something/I'll tell you something/I'll tell you something/I'll tell you something/I'll tell you something/I'll tell you something/I'll tell you something/I'll tell you something/I'll tell you something/I'll tell you something/ I'll tell you something/ I'll tell you something/ I'll tell you something/ I'll tell you something/ I'll tell you something/ I'll tell you something I'll tell you something 'Match my good name/ It is one of me shameful/ I do not cater to all these vipers dressed in empathy'
