Prince Louis dances at Trooping the Colors
It seems Prince Louis couldn't pass up the opportunity to show off his killer dance moves.
Attending this year's Trooping the Colour, held in honor of his grandfather King Charles' birthday, the 6-year-old prince was seen dancing with his mother Kate Middleton and siblings as they waited for his long-awaited appearance at Buckingham Palace. One fan posted on X (formerly Twitter) along with a video of Prince Louis dancing as the royal band played and his mother stood patiently behind him."
"Prince Louis is dancing to the progression," another X account shared; in another video shared on X, the young prince could be seen playing with some chords while sitting alongside Middleton. Royal or not, kids will be kids.
As reported by the BBC, early on in the proceedings of the event, Prince Louis enjoyed a covered carriage ride during the royal procession and gave a little royal wave to onlookers.
The prince waved near the end of the "carriage portion of today's event," the outlet reported, at which point it was nearing its end as his family prepared for the Horse Guards Parade. Prince Louis made her first public appearance since undergoing planned abdominal surgery in January with his brothers, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, and then shared a ride on the Glass State Coach with his mother, Kate Middleton, who announced she had been diagnosed with cancer and was undergoing preventive treatment. [According to the BBC, the Princess of Wales and Princess Charlotte "were seen wiping the windows of the coach so they could watch the cheering crowds as they proceeded down the Mall."
The pair finished wiping the mist from the windows and gave a small wave to royal onlookers and attendees alike.
Meanwhile, Princess Charlotte wore a "don't mess with me, I'm not meant to be" look during the procession, perhaps giving royal conspiracy theorists a less subtle message as her mother continues her cancer-prevention treatments.
Attending the annual Trooping the Colour event was the princess' first public appearance since her hospitalization in January and subsequent announcement of her cancer diagnosis. While her attendance was welcome, it did not signify a formal return to official royal duties. She said, "I look forward to attending the King's birthday parade this weekend with my family and hope to participate in some official duties over the summer. I am learning how to be patient, especially with uncertainty," the Princess of Wales wrote in a statement shared on various Kensington Palace social media accounts.
"I am taking it one day at a time, listening to my body and allowing myself to take the time I need to heal."
