Kate Middleton Confirms Attendance at "Trooping the Colour" with Update on Cancer Treatment

After weeks of rumors and speculation surrounding Kate Middleton's health, and in light of her ongoing cancer treatment, the royal family has decided to set the record straight after her possible attendance at the Trooping the Colour celebration on June 15.

Princess Kate issued a heartfelt statement on Friday afternoon, June 14, on the joint Instagram account of the crown prince and princess. Along with a portrait taken by photographer Matt Porteous, Princess Kate, appearing for the first time since announcing her cancer diagnosis in March, confirmed that she would stand beside her family in "Trooping the Colour". More importantly, the Princess revealed that her cancer treatment is "progressing well."

"I am learning how to be patient. I am taking it one day at a time, listening to my body and allowing myself the time I need to heal," she wrote.

Middleton was photographed outside her Windsor home, People reported. She appeared in a plaid blazer and jeans, with her hair curled into her signature soft waves. 'I'm progressing well, but as anyone going through chemotherapy knows, there are good days and bad days,' she said. On the bad days, you feel weak, tired, and have no choice but to give in to resting your body.' But on good days, when you feel strong, you want to make the most of being well."

After saying that the positive messages from the public helped her and Prince William get through the "more difficult times" they faced, Middleton said when she would next be seen. She also cautioned that a full return to royal duties was not imminent.

"I look forward to attending the King's birthday parade with my family this weekend and hope to participate in some official duties over the summer.

Kate Middleton has not been seen in public since Kensington Palace announced her cancer diagnosis via video earlier this spring. Since then, Middleton said with the portrait, "I've been overwhelmed by the kind messages of support and encouragement over the past couple of months." It has really made a difference to William and I and helped us both get through a difficult time."

Princess Kate revealed that she is on the mend but still has "a few more months" of treatment left. She wrote, "On days when I feel well enough, I am happy to participate in school life, to spend personal time doing things that give me energy and positivity, and to start working a little at home."

She ended her update by expressing her gratitude for all the favors she has received over the past few months."

"Thank you so much for your continued understanding and to all who have so bravely shared your story with me.

Kate Middleton's return to the public eye will be a poignant moment for the Royal Family. The Princess of Wales has rightfully requested privacy while undergoing cancer treatment. Prince William has also refrained from making public appearances to support his wife and his father, King Charles III, who is also undergoing cancer treatment.

Princess Kate first attended Trooping the Colour in 2011, wearing a white Alexander McQueen coat dress and black hat. Royal sources reported that Prince Charles is "delighted" to see Princess Kate at "Trooping the Colour" this weekend, but the Palace has not pressed Princess Kate to attend. However, the Palace is not forcing Princess Kate to attend. If Princess Kate does appear, it is certain that her immediate family and the rest of the world will be "overjoyed."
