Theo James, of White Lotus fame, used to be a musician, but an unpleasant incident kept him from a life as a rock star.

James recently appeared on The Kelly Clarkson Show and brought up that the host had heard he came from a musical family. She asked him if he had ever wanted to pursue music, to which he replied I was in a band, I wanted to be a rock star, I played hundreds of gigs. I was in a lot of different bands, but most of them were terrible."

Clarkson then played a rather embarrassing old video of James in a band. She also asked him if he had any particular anecdotes about screwing up on stage as a musician.

"There were a lot of things that went wrong," James explained. 'I once got my foot caught in some moving equipment on stage. I was looking in the wrong direction and got my whole leg caught in something like a roller. I once had a bottle of urine thrown at me while I was playing in a band. That's when I decided to try something else."

Clarkson was clearly shocked by the revelation and asked the "Divergent" actor how this happened.

"It was a weird, sweaty, horrible gig," he explained. 'I think the act before it or something was late and everyone was inebriated and angry.'

Surely that makes sense ......?
