Taylor Swift fans caused seismic activity during the Edinburgh Eras tour.
Taylor Swift's fans are not fooled by her enthusiasm.
The superstar recently played three nights of her Eras tour at Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh from June 7 to June 9, and her crowd was so enthusiastic that it literally caused seismic activity around the venue.
The British Geographical Survey reported that Swiffy's singing, dancing, foot stomping, and clapping (paired with the usual concert bass and other sounds) caused stations around Edinburgh to record seismic readings from up to 6 km away (roughly 3.7 miles).
Unfortunately for the competition-oriented Saturday and Sunday concert attendees, according to the BGS, Friday night attendees were the noisiest.
According to the organization, fans were absolutely the most enthusiastic (read: loudest) during three songs from three different eras on all three nights: "Ready For It?" from "Reputation," "Cruel Summer" from "Lover," and "Champagne Problems" from "Evermore." in "Evermore". Nevertheless, as expected, the response to 1989's "Shake It Off" was also positive. Interestingly, it was mostly dancing that caused the earthquake on the first two songs, and applause on "Champagne Problems."
But JSYK, this was not limited to Scottish audiences: the American Swifties are capable of such earth-shaking activity; according to CBS News, Lumen Stadium in Seattle, Washington, and SoFi in Los Angeles, California stadiums, reports of seismic activity by the Eras tour also came out after Swift's performance at the stadiums.
Swift is currently performing in Liverpool, England through June 15, followed by one night in Cardiff, Wales, and three nights in London.
The June 13 Liverpool show was the 100th date of the Eras tour, which began in March 2023. She celebrated by confirming that the Eras era would end in December.
"Everyone said, 'How are you going to celebrate your 100th show? Swift said that night. 'For me, celebrating my 100th show means that for the first time I'm acknowledging and admitting to myself that this tour ends in December. This tour ends in December. I think she meant "for all these years," but let's not hear this one out.
