Taylor Swift is too busy cooking with boyfriend Travis Kelsey to care about Matty Healy's engagement.
There's nothing like seeing an ex-lover get engaged, so even though Taylor Swift seems very happy after a year of dating Travis Kells, it's still a little heartbreaking. (In case you missed the news, Swift's ex, Matty Healy, announced his engagement last night
, and we'll be sure to keep an eye out for more news on that.
Their relationship was short-lived, but was more of a backlash as Swift and her ex, Joe Alwyn, broke up last April after being together for six years. Healey and Swift's brief relationship appears to have provided much of the lyrical inspiration for Swift's latest album, The Tortured Poets Department, which was released in April.
After Healy and Swift broke up in June, she tied the knot with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Kelce about a month later. Since going public as a couple last September, they have become one of the most famous couples in the world (Kels' brother Jason recently called their celebrity status "crazy"), and they seem completely happy just cooking together in their home.
Attending the Chiefs' press conference yesterday, Kells was a true gentleman, but when asked what the couple's favorite dish to cook together is, he minced no words. 'I respect the question, but I keep it to myself,' he said. It's a personal thing."
So while we may not know Swift and Kells' signature dish, Kells at least offered something to the eager reporters and circled back to the question as he exited the stage: "Taylor makes great pop tarts and cinnamon rolls," he told the audience. [It was revealed that Swift baked Kels cinnamon rolls before the Chiefs' game against the Chicago Bears on September 24. Also earlier this year, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said that Swift baked homemade Pop-Tarts for the team during their Super Bowl-winning season (which apparently led to the Chiefs' big win in February).
Unfortunately for Reed, however, he never got to taste one, according to a March interview on "The Rich Eisen Show": "She makes a good Pop-Tart. She makes a good pop tart," he said, "but she won't share it with me. She just won't share them with me. I have to give some to my coach.'"
In April, Swift herself released a short YouTube movie of herself kissing Kelsey while baking what looked like cinnamon rolls, and NFL veteran Bernie Kosar also quit his veganism and ate cinnamon rolls: "Three hours before the game, I went to [Kelsey's] house. I went to (Kelce's) house three hours before the game. It was a pregame meal, and Taylor was very nice, came over by herself, and was very cool about it." She made homemade cinnamon rolls for Travis for the pre-game meal. I'm a juicer now and I'm trying to go vegan and gluten-free, but I definitely had to sample those cinnamon rolls the day of the match."
Swift and Kells enjoyed five continents together during their 10 months as a publicly visible couple.
