Taylor Swift's watch choker looks like an Easter egg.

After a seemingly Easter-egg-free few weeks on the Eras tour, Taylor Swift's latest outfit appears to be sending a message to the Swifts through one little accessory.

Taylor Swift, out to dinner with her team in London before her Liverpool, England, show and her 100th Eras Tour performance on Thursday, June 13, in her Tortured Poets Department fashion era, on Tuesday, June 11. She was photographed wearing a moody outfit befitting her Tortured Poets Department fashion era on Tuesday, June 11. Styled by Joseph Cassell Falconer, the look featured a sharply lapeled longline coat by Stella McCartney, a black jacquard bustier top, and the designer's flared black pants. She accessorized with Gucci slingback pumps and a Gucci mini Jackie bag, but they were not the star of this outfit.

Swift's time piece necklace drew attention (at least online). A beaded watch choker sparkled around Swift's neck, and unlike at the Grammy Awards, the style was not associated with a string of diamonds. Snaps of the outfit were widely shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, before the photos were released to journalists in the United States.

The watch necklace made another appearance at a dinner with lavish guests. Cara Delevingne, Kate Moss, Lena Dunham, two of the Haim sisters, Andrew Scott, and Stella McCartney enjoyed a night out with Swift (and her message-packed outfit). (Swift may have set the squad's dress code: many of her friends wore shades of black and gray that coordinated with the "Fortnite" singer's outfit, some of which were worn by McCartney.

Swift debuted the watch, which features a white dial and shiny black strap, on a historic night for her career. She won two Grammy Awards in February, including Album of the Year for Midnights, and in her acceptance speech, she said that fans were not expecting the announcement of Reputation (Taylor's version), but that The Tortured Poets Department was forthcoming.

Even on the red carpet in February, Swift told fans what her watch necklace meant: People first reported that just before walking in front of the camera, Swift asked her stylist to set the hands on her watch to midnight, hinting to fans through the details that an announcement would be made during the Grammy Awards ceremony. Through the details, she hinted to fans. [Some noticed that the hands on the clock were set around 1:20 this time, while others simply assumed that the choker was last seen when Swift shared the big news.

Some Swift fans believe that the reappearance of the watch choker was a sign of a major announcement at her 100th show, and that her necklace symbolized a countdown. Swift filmed the video for the Vault song "I Can See You" from Speak Now (Taylor's Version) in Liverpool, where she is performing tonight. The video symbolizes the stars in Swift's video taking Swift out of the vault and her reclaiming her music through re-recording. It may have been a set-up for the next re-recorded album to return to listeners. Reputation" (Taylor's version) is a fan favorite: along with Swift's team of models, actors, and designers, the album's original photographer, Mart Alas, was reportedly at the dinner Tuesday night.

Aside from the possibility of a hidden message, Swift's necklace has done more than just freak out fans with its self-references. The watch choker trend is also gaining ground among fashion insiders. Celebrities such as Emma Chamberlain, Rihanna, and Meghan C. Stallion are repurposing dainty watches into statement jewelry for fashion week and their own time.

Swift's recent off-duty outfits prioritize her true personal style rather than leaving hints for fans to analyze. After kicking off the European leg of her tour in Paris, she packed date-night staples like an LBD and trench coat for a romantic stay in Italy with her boyfriend, Travis Kells. She stopped by Cara Delevingne's "Cabaret" performance in London and wore an oversized blue sweater as a mini-dress. Both items were by Swift's favorite designers (Alaia for the former, Stella McCartney for the latter), but there seemed to be no product names or details indicating deeper meaning.

Now that Swift is once again in front of photographers, trust that there is something she wants her fans to see (and decipher). Could the watch choker actually be a new (or re-recorded) wink to the Tortured Poets music video countdown" alarm to stop anyone from actually guessing.

Swift returns to the stage on a key date: Thursday, June 13, which includes her lucky number (13) and marks the 100th show of her Eras tour. The dominoes certainly seem to be chained in a straight line. As one fan wrote to X when the photos were released on Tuesday, "Count your lucky stars, Liverpool." Definitely cool things happening at your show.
