Will Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis attend "Trooping the Colour" this Saturday?
The mere report that the Princess of Wales is "considering" a surprise appearance from the balcony of Buckingham Palace for Trooping the Colour on June 15 has created hope among the royal faithful...at Sandringham Palace on Christmas Day 2023 when Kate The public has not seen Kate on royal duty since she attended the church of St. Mary Magdalene.
Of course, Kate has also had pressing issues with something completely unrelated to the royal family: her health after being diagnosed with cancer earlier this year. As for her attendance at Saturday's birthday parade for her father-in-law, King Charles, the chances of that happening are unfortunately "incredibly unlikely," according to royal writer Katie Nichol.
"She has made it clear that she wants to stay out of the spotlight," Nicole told "Entertainment Tonight." 'She needs this period of time and under the radar to recover. We're used to seeing her on the balcony."
Nicole said she herself was concerned about whether George, Charlotte, and Louis would attend. We have seen George attend sporting events with his father, but just as Kate has avoided the public eye throughout 2024, so have the children. Of her three children's appearance on the iconic balcony, Nicole said. 'They are always impeccable and often entertaining. I wouldn't be at all surprised if William makes the decision to bring them."
She added: "They are not yet part of the royal family, but they will be. Prince George is the future king, so it's really important that the public gets to see George, Charlotte, and Louis on this occasion." [Even though King Charles' actual birthday was in November and the late Queen Elizabeth's birthday was in April, the June event was chosen because the weather in London at the time was generally favorable. According to Tatler magazine, the parade will feature 1,400 soldiers, 200 horses, 400 musicians, and hopefully three very adorable Welsh children.
