Suri Cruise, daughter of Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise, decides where to go to school this fall

Thanks to a TikTok shared on May 20 by a classmate of 18-year-old Suri Cruise, we now know where the daughter of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes is headed in the fall, and according to E! News, Cruise's college plans were revealed in the Hannah Montana song "I'll Always It was revealed in a video set to the song "Remember You," as she and her friends show off their college sweaters. In the video, Cruz "was seen wearing a Carnegie Mellon University red sweater, making silly faces at the camera and dancing cutesy dances with her friends," the media outlet reported.

Cruise's mother, Holmes, who divorced her ex-husband Tom in 2012, has been keen to stay out of the spotlight since the birth of her daughter in 2006. Allowing Cruz to have a private life was important to Holmes, Holmes said.

Speaking to Glamour magazine last year, Holmes said of his only child, "I want to protect her. I am so grateful to be her parent. She is an incredible person."

The mother-daughter bond deepened when Cruise sang and provided backing vocals for two of Holmes' recent projects, 2022's Alone Together and 2023's Rare Objects: "I always want her to do something in my films. I always ask her to do something for me." But both experiences came from the same sense of love I have for the industry. Holmes added: "It meant a lot to me to have her there.

According to Page Six, Holmes reportedly helped her daughter apply to college (and is reportedly "overwhelmed" by the idea of becoming an old man in the sky), but sources say that Cruz has "always been determined to forge her own path. 'She's a smart girl, very intelligent, mature and becoming a young woman. She has very close and loyal friends and knows exactly where she is coming from." As for Holmes, he added, "Katie is very proud of her, but also very overprotective."

According to Access, the prestigious Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh is "known for its highly regarded theater and computer science programs." However, according to the Daily Mail, Cruz is reportedly "leaning toward" studying fashion upon graduation from LaGuardia High School, instead of following in the acting footsteps of her very famous parents. In a new interview with The Sunday Times, Holmes herself, a style inspiration to many, especially in terms of street style, told the magazine that she is saving some of her old clothes for her daughter.

"I've saved them all over the place," she said. But she has her own sense of style and expression." As for Cruz borrowing clothes from her mother, Holmes teased, "Sometimes the basics are absolutely gone. Holmes teased, "But that's okay."
