Olympic Kathleen Ledecky balances a glass of chocolate milk on her head while swimming
Olympic swimmer Kathleen Ledecky is showing off her skills in a rather unusual and tremendously impressive way ahead of the Paris 2024 Olympics.
On Thursday, 6/20, a video of the gold medal winner getting ready for the game was published online, with chocolate on the top of her head as Ledecky deftly swims the length of the pool
"This video of Kathleen Ledecky balancing chocolate milk on her head while swimming shows her smiling." It's more impressive to me than 7 Olympic gold medals," the awe-inspiring fan posted on x, formerly known as Twitter, alongside the same video highlighting Ledecky's swimming prowess.
Another contributor posted "Skills for days" also mentions that the athlete has won 7 Olympic gold Medals and 21 World Championships gold medals, making her the most decorated female swimmer in history.
"Micheal Phelps is the Olympic men's swimmer Kathleen Ledecky," another X user posted, referring to the most decorated Olympian in (so far) history.
Of course, balancing a whole glass of chocolate milk on her head while effortlessly swimming through the entire length of the pool is not only a recently impressive and mind-boggling display of Ledecky's athletic abilities. 6/19 (Thursday), the Olympian set yet another record in the 1500-meter freestyle, breaking the previous world record (which she also set, by the way) in an amazing 17 seconds.
"I was pretty excited coming in tonight," Ledecky said on NBC Sports after winning her race, as reported by Newsweek. "I would have liked to be a little faster, but I would take it. I'll get better in a few weeks.
"Katie Ledecky swam the world's fastest women's 1500m Freestyle time this year and beat Katie Ledecky," the NBC Sports official X account posted.
"This Katie Ledecky stat doesn't look like real" and the same account was shared in another post, showcasing the top 18 1500-meter freestyle time.
Earlier this year, Ledecky was awarded the coveted Medal of Freedom by President Joe Biden. The history-making swimmer is only the second Olympian to be awarded a medal, following the greatest gymnast of all time, Simone Biles.
"Thank you to President @potus and everyone at @whitehouse for this honor and incredibly special day! Ledecky posted on Instagram with 2 photos of her winning the award and waving the president's hand.Photos on instagram show that she won the award.
"Always representing the best Team USA," the Team USA organization posted on Instagram with another photo of Ledecky winning the award. "The most decorated woman in swimming history @katieledecky adds the Presidential Medal of Freedom to her resume."
