Sabrina Carpenter says "F*** them all" to anyone who thinks Taylor Swift's new album is monotone
Sabrina Carpenter has no time for critics of her friends and collaborators.
In a new interview with Rolling Stone, the pop star asked how she would react to people criticizing her producer Jack Antonoff for what they find to be a "monotone" work on their mutual friend Taylor Swift's latest album, The Torture Poets Division. I was asked if I could do it.
Soon, Carpenter said, "F*** them all," lol.
She then repeated, "F*** them all." I think he's one of the most talented people I've ever met. When he is in the room, he can literally touch every instrument in the room to make it sound magical. He also works very fast, I'm really grateful because I work very fast.
Antonov collaborated with Carpenter on her upcoming album Short N' Sweet and is equally full of praise for her songwriting and musical talent. "The way she puts things, I'll be there with her soon," he told the magazine. "And whoever has to watch her live, not to mention recording her, she's an incredible singer. When you are in the presence of such a voice, all you want to do is capture it.
The producer was instrumental in the singer's new song "Please Please Please".
Speaking to that song, Antonov said, "There's a feeling like Olivia Newton [John], there's a feeling of Dolly, there's an incredibly ultra・modern pop the little vocal runs she does are so weird and unique — they make this really weird, classic, almost European." Del-y is doing the country thing. She is becoming one of the greatest young pop stars, a statement that the song expresses itself not only lyrically, but also soundly.
As for the relationship between Carpenter and Swift, she has served as the opening act of many of the Eras tours, and the two women have forged sweet friendships.
Elsewhere in the Rolling Stone interview, the "Espresso" hitmaker was asked if her starring role in Kim Kardashian's recent campaign for Skim was awkward against Swift, whose relationship with the reality star is complicated to say the least. "In that scenario, I'm very communicative with her about the situation, I love her very much and support her to the end," Carpenter said in response. Glad it is cleared!
