As the battle over the Royal Lodge rages between the brothers of King Charles and Prince Andrew, Andrew is bringing a "secret weapon" to help defend his case

The battle between the brothers for the Royal Lodge is clearly continuing, with Prince Andrew - who lives in a £3,000 million Windsor-based mansion with his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York - against his older brother, King Charles, for possession of the property.

OK, one possible motive as to why Andrew is fighting so hard to maintain the property is that he has given it to his daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.; The Sun reports that Andrew plans to use his daughter, which is well-liked by the king and the rest of the royal family, as his "secret weapon" to stay in the 30-room house.

"The Princess is Andrew's secret weapon," said Ingrid Seward, a royal biographer and editor・in-chief of Majesty Magazine. "They are very popular among the royal family and Charles especially likes them. They are now his passport [that] he has lost everything.

Andrew retreated from royal duties after a disastrous 2019 Newsnight interview — dramatized in Neflix's Scoop — discussed his own sexual assault allegations and his association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. He has been seen at royal events in the past few months, including Christmas at Sandringham and Easter at St George's Chapel, but his 18-month and counting feud with his brother threatens to overturn it (and he will never return to royal duties).

Of the Royal Lodge,"It is his home, and it has been their home for many years," Seward said of Beatrice and Eugenie. "Their childhood was all over the place, and the Royal Lodge was one stability they had.(Andrew and Fergie divorced in 1996, the same year as Charles and Princess Diana.)

Seward continued the York Sisters "They love their dad and want to help him if possible. Their mom can't do anything - but they can.

Palace sources said the king would not be allowed to leave the Royal Lodge if Andrew refused to leave the Windsor Estate and properties like the Frogmore Cottage in the former home of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle (and, for some time, Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank). "We can reconsider the level of support he is willing to provide," he told the Sun.

Andrew's main argument is that he owns a 75-year lease, but the house is "collapsing," the Sun writes, and is said to be "in need of major repairs," which is thought to be around £40 million a year. "The monarch is said to be increasingly dissatisfied with Andrew's refusal to take care of the huge mansion," the Sun reports. Andrew is said to have promised King Charles to take care of its expensive repairs, despite having no apparent source of income.

Frustration is further exacerbated by Charles and his unwillingness to "continue to pay out of his pocket to fund Andrew's lavish lifestyle," the publication writes.

"It can be done neatly or untidy," a friend told Andrew's age, finally leaving the Royal Lodge. "It can be done with grace and dignity, or it can be forced on him. It's all pretty sad."The only problem now is when you realize that he has become a prisoner of his own pride, and that returning the keys gives him much greater comfort and the continued support of his family," they added.

GB News royal Correspondent Cameron Walker, speaking of the Duke of York, said that PER OK "goes from almost the top of British society to where he is now — falling apart at the seams, depending on how you see it," I think it's really interesting to see how this works.”
