Rumors that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are headed for divorce continue to swirl as the "Let's Get Loud" singer returns from a solo vacation in Italy.

Sources close to the situation told People in an exclusive interview that Affleck removed all of his personal belongings from the couple's home while his wife was in Europe.

"Ben continues to live in the Brentwood rental. Ben continues to live in a rental in Brentwood. 'He seems to be doing okay. He comes to the office every day and seems to be focused on his work. He also spends time with his children."

In May, a source close to Lopez told People that Ben had moved out of his 38,000-square-foot home.

According to TMZ, it took the couple more than two years and more than 80 listings before they decided to buy a post-nuptial property.

Since then, reports have surfaced that the two have put the couple's $60 million home back on the market, despite having only purchased it last year.

"Ben didn't like the house," a source told People at the time. 'It's too far away from the kids.' The same source claimed that the house was "too big" for Lopez as well.

According to a source who previously told Us Weekly, "Jennifer [was] distraught" after they made the decision to sell the property.

"She wants to sell their house off-market and try to get less attention surrounding it," the source claimed at the time. 'Ben doesn't mind the negative attention. Ben doesn't mind negative attention.

According to an earlier report by Entertainment Tonight, Lopez and Affleck are "taking some space and trying to figure things out."

"Jen and Ben are living separate lives, but they haven't officially separated yet," a source told the magazine at the time, later reiterating that despite the distance, the marriage is not over yet. 'At this point they are just doing their own thing. They went into the relationship very optimistic and thought things could change, but they haven't."

Other reports indicate that the two are dealing with the same issues that led to their early outc split.

"Jen is feeling the pressure with all the work commitments, and Ben is more calm and doesn't care about Hollywood and what comes with it," a source told Entertainment Tonight." He feels that ups and downs are part of life and everyone has these moments," the source told Entertainment Tonight.

After canceling her summer tour amid poor ticket sales, Lopez took a trip without her husband to Italy, said to be one of her favorite vacation destinations.

"The last time I spent a summer in southern Italy for a couple of years in a row, I really, really liked it," she told Travel + Leisure in a previous interview.
