Taraji P. Henson speaks highly of Megan Seastallion.

The Color Purple actress attended Megan's Hot Girl Summer Tour in Los Angeles last week and was blown away by her performance.

"It was the first time I had seen her perform live on stage, headlining," Henson told People. 'She's amazing. She has endured all kinds of adversity and overcome it. She is incredible. I love Megan and I'm so proud of her. She's my daughter, by the way."

Regarding his relationship with the "WAP" singer, Henson continued, "I'm very proud of her. I'm there for whatever the ladies are doing. I'm a cheerleader. I'm the one in the front, cheering loudly, and that's the way it should be as an elder."

This is clearly the life philosophy of this actress, to which she added: "I'm here for these kids! Be here for these kids!"

Henson and Meghan have collaborated in the past, with the actress making a cameo appearance in the rapper's 2020 music video for "Body" alongside Jordyn Woods and Blac Chyna.

The Empire star spoke to People ahead of hosting this year's BET Awards on Sunday, June 30. As part of the awards, Meghan is nominated for Best Collaboration and Video of the Year for her track "Bongos" with Cardi B, Best Female Hip-Hop Artist, and the BET Her Award for "Hiss." Meanwhile, Henson's own "The Color Purple" is nominated for Best Film.
