Princess Charlotte makes a good impression on brothers Travis and Jason Kells.
Princess Charlotte will probably make a big impression wherever she goes, but two pretty tough guys (NFL football players) were really surprised by the Prince and Princess' 9-year-old daughter.
Of the two Instagram posts seen around the world, one by William and Kate and the other by Taylor Swift herself, Charlotte, her father William, and her brother Prince George, backstage at Swift's Eras tour last Friday. The moment they met backstage on Swift's Eras tour last Friday was captured. Swift's version of this photo was taken by her boyfriend, Travis Kells, and he and his brother Jason described how the two men from Ohio met the two future Kings of England, and the current and eternal Queen, Charlotte herself, on their "New Heights" podcast.
"Prince William was amazing," he said. But the highlight was Princess Charlotte." [Prince George was also great. [Princess Charlotte] was crazy cute," Travis agreed, calling William and Kate's only daughter a "superstar."
Jason admitted that he might be biased, adding, "Maybe it's because I have three daughters now," but said of Charlotte, "She had fire." (A fact that any casual royal follower is well aware of.)
Jason said that Charlotte was "asking a lot of questions" and that was the "most exciting" part of their meeting. Travis added that "parents like to ask their children to be present and vocal," and Jason agreed, adding that he "encourages them to take control of the conversation." Travis chimed in, "That's very good parenting," and Jason said of William's parenting, "If anyone is doing it right, Prince William is doing it right."
Travis has no children yet, but Jason and his wife, Kylie Kells, are the parents of three daughters, Wyatt, Elliott, and Bennett.
In addition to raising his children correctly, if nothing else, as evidenced by the fact that he took them on the Ellas Tour on his 42nd birthday (a major fatherly goal), Travis called the Prince of Wales "the coolest motherfucker" and said that the Kells brothers were the "coolest motherfucker" to begin with. was "so pure," as he admitted he wasn't even sure if he was allowed to talk about the meeting. Travis admitted that he "didn't know if I should bow and curtsy to them or be an American idiot and shake their hands. I wanted to be polite, especially on this side of the pond." Jason pointed out that since it was not an official royal event, there was no need to bow or curtsy, "but I still called His Highness," Jason said. I put the beer 10 feet away."
Travis summed up the royal family meeting by telling listeners William, George, and Charlotte that "they were an absolute pleasure to meet."
Incredibly, this was Jason and Kylie's first Eras tour concert. (Twenty-one months later, the tour will conclude in Vancouver on December 8 of this year.) Travis has seen the show many times, including on five continents (North America, South America, Australia, Asia, and Europe).
Charlotte is a huge Swift fan, and one can only imagine how special it was to meet the legendary Swift herself: "Charlotte absolutely loved [the concert]," a source told "Entertainment Tonight. "Charlotte absolutely loved (the concert). William and Kate did a wonderful job raising all three of them. They understand and appreciate how lucky they are to have someone like Taylor Swift in their lives." (And make no mistake, Swift understands how lucky she is to have cool kids like them. )
Speaking of Swift, she will be back in London for the Eras tour, scheduled for five shows at Wembley Stadium in August. This time Kate and Prince Louis may be able to join her.
