Taylor Swift and her Eras tour helped Prince William look "like his old self" again

It's been a tough 2024 for Prince William, but the ship seems to be heading in the right direction, less than a week after the Crown Princess' return to public life at "Trooping the Colour" on June 15 (as she continues her cancer treatments) and on June 21, her 42nd On the day of his birthday, William attended the first day of Taylor Swift's Eras tour at Wembley Stadium in London, where he seemed to be enjoying life with his son Prince George and daughter Princess Charlotte.

This year William has had to juggle not only his wife's battle with cancer, but also his relationship with his father, ongoing conflicts with his brother Prince Harry, caring for Kate and their three children, a demanding workload as heir to the throne, and, perhaps most taxing of all, all this with the eyes of the world on him. But while dancing to Swift's "Shake It Off" on the Eras tour, body language expert Judy James told the Mirror that William looked like his old self as he entered the next year.

James said William "exploded with pent-up emotion and joy" at a Taylor Swift concert. Earlier that week at Royal Ascot (an annual tradition in the royal diary), James noticed "constant touches and gestures of maternal support and care" from the women she calls William's "three fairy godmothers:" Carole Middleton (mother-in-law), Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh (aunt), and Zara Tindall (cousin). These gestures, James said, "re-energized William, who had returned to his royal duties after months of what must have been worry about Kate, as he had been before."

In addition to being caught on camera dancing in the box seats at Wembley, Swift and the Prince and Princess of Wales shared a selfie from a backstage meet-and-greet before the show last Friday night. Swift's boyfriend Travis Kelsey called the future king "so cool" and "so pure" on his podcast New Heights, along with his brother Jason Kelsey.

"Hey, he was the coolest motherfucker," Travis said, to which Jason agreed, "He was the best." Travis admitted that when he met William, George, and Charlotte backstage, he wasn't sure what the royal protocol was and whether he should "bow," "curtsy," or "be an American idiot and shake hands," especially in the park. On this side of the park, I wanted to be polite," he added.

Travis added that Jason also got to meet William and the kids, and said he had never seen his brother "so respectful" when he met someone: Travis joked, "You put your beer 10 feet away." Jason replied, "I didn't have it between my teeth when I met (William)," referring to the viral video of Jason holding a beer cup between his teeth at Swift's London show over the weekend. 'They were great. They were great," Jason said. 'Obviously, they are literally part of the monarchy, royalty. But they totally looked the part."

In perhaps the most moving tribute, Travis said of William's parenting, "If anyone is doing it right, Prince William is doing it right," according to People.

Prayerfully, this year, a year older, will be far more dramatic for the Prince of Wales than the second half of his 41st year. Reflecting on William's difficult year, Ingrid Sward, royal biographer and editor-in-chief of Majesty magazine, told the Mirror, "The trauma of the past year has made him a stronger person. He has become the kind, caring, accepting man that [his mother, Princess Diana] always wanted him to be, able to take whatever life throws at him."

She added, "He has become the kind of man that Princess Diana would have wanted him to be.
