Taylor Swift worried that her fame would "scare" Travis Kells when they started dating, sources claim.
Taylor Swift is one of the most famous people on the planet, which is great, but it also presents some challenges.
Because of her insane level of fame, Swift reportedly worried when she first started dating Travis Kells that the amount of attention she was constantly receiving would keep her away from him.
"The increased public attention has changed his life," a source told the latest issue of Us Weekly."
"Taylor was worried that bringing Travis into her world would scare him away, but he embraced it and handled it very well. But the Chiefs tight end was incredibly understanding about it all, and has shown himself to be one of Swift's most loyal supporters (which anyone who has met Swiftie will know is difficult).
For example, speaking to Extra in April, Kelsey said she welcomes the "challenge" of dealing with the insane amount of attention their relationship attracts. 'I love a good challenge. I get excited about challenges. Something I've never done before keeps me focused," she said. And there's something about it that I love."
According to Us Weekly's source, Kels' philosophical approach to fame "made her fall in love with him even more."
Meanwhile, another source told the magazine, "Travis was a star before Taylor, but this has made him a household name. He's doing the best he can with it. He has always had good people around him."
Another reason Swift may have been fearful around her new boyfriend struggling with her fame is that her previous relationship with Joe Alwyn reportedly suffered from this problem.
"Joe was struggling with Taylor's fame and public attention," one source said after they broke up.
"Their personality differences also became hard to ignore after so many years together, and they drifted apart."
Thankfully, Kells actually loves the attention - as evidenced by his "Viva Las Vegas" chant after the Super Bowl and his recent stage debut at the Elas Tour in London. Long live Magic.
