Margot Robbie is reportedly pregnant, expecting her first child with husband Tom Ackerley.

Barbie is going to be a mom! [Actress Margot Robbie is expecting her first child with husband Tom Ackerley, "People" reports. According to the magazine, multiple sources have confirmed that the two will become parents.

The soon-to-be parents first met in 2013, when Ackerley was an assistant director on the World War II drama "Suite Francaise" and Robbie was working in front of the camera. Shortly thereafter, the two became friends as they worked together on a four-person production team.

In December 2016, they decided to marry in an intimate ceremony in Australia.

In 2019, Robbie spoke about how quickly the public expected her to have children after becoming his wife.

"When I got married, the first question in almost every interview was, 'Baby, when are you going to have a baby? ' I am very angry that there is this social contract. You're married, you should have a baby. Don't make assumptions. I'll do what I want to do."

In the same interview, Robbie noted that the pressure to become a parent immediately after marriage - a pressure that men rarely if ever face - makes her "really angry."

"How dare an old man tell me what I can and cannot do with regard to motherhood and my body," she continued at the time.

Later, in a 2018 interview with Porter magazine, Robbie dismissed the idea of having a child or children anytime soon, instead telling the magazine that she and Ackerley are content with their four-legged children, puppies.

"Absolutely not," she said. Three days ago, my husband stopped by a dog shelter on his way home from the airport, and we ended up getting a pit bull puppy." The dog is already two years old and still acts like a puppy. I love him, but he is a handful and for the past three days I have not been able to sleep. I say, 'I'm going to foster him this week,' but my husband says, 'No, no! We're keeping him'"

.

The experience of caring for not one, but two puppies at the time reinforced the idea that for Robbie and her husband, having a child, at least not at that particular moment ... It reinforced the idea that they would be able to have a child.

"I can't deal with two puppies, let alone a child!" She said.

But even knee-deep in puppy duty, Robbie did not hesitate to consider a future that included children.

"If I were looking 30 years into the future, I would love to see a big Christmas dinner with lots of kids," she continued in the same interview. 'But it's never going to happen now. I'm 100% certain of that."

After all, that future is reportedly here!
