Travis Kelsey was terrified that he would drop Taylor Swift for an onstage cameo.

When Travis Kelce made a surprise cameo appearance on stage at his girlfriend Taylor Swift's "Eras Tour" London show on June 23, the only thing on the three-time Super Bowl champion's mind was: don't. don't. up.

"I told myself, 'Don't drop the baby. Don't drop Taylor on the way to this shitty couch,'" Travis explained on the latest episode of his hit podcast New Heights, which he co-hosts with his brother, retired NFL player Jason Kelce

.

"The golden rule was to get Taylor to the couch safely without dropping him," he added.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end then invoked sage advice from his former coach, offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy.

"Coach Bieniemy always said, 'That ball is filled with our dreams, goals, and aspirations,'" Travis Kelce recalled. Don't drop that ball."

Despite Swift's deep involvement in every aspect of her musical career, from directing her own music videos to, of course, writing songs, it was actually his idea for Kels' brief onstage performance that came to It was his responsibility.

"I first mentioned it to Tay," Kells explained to his brother. 'How funny would it be if I rode out in 1989 on a motorcycle?'

According to Travis Kells, his girlfriend laughed at the idea at first. Eventually, however, she began to seriously consider the possibility of going on stage with the NFL star and, according to Kelsey, asked his new girlfriend if she was really "willing to do that."

"I was just like, "Yeah, I'd love to do that, are you kidding me?" I was like.

"And sure enough, she found the right part for me."

Teamwork makes dreams come true!

In true showmanship fashion, Kelsey hinted that her cameo in London may not be her last.

"Thank you Tay for letting me jump on stage with you. This may not be the last time. I will have to keep showing up on the "Eras Tour" to see if I jump off the stage."

In fact, Kelsey even warned the superstar's girlfriend that she would soon get used to performing in front of thousands of screaming, frenzied fans.

"Yeah, I told her. It's like this. Once you get comfortable, you stop listening to what everyone else is saying and start doing your own thing," he admitted.

Well, Swift (and the rest of us) can't say she wasn't warned!
