Lady Louise, daughter of Prince Edward and Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, "strives to stay out of the royal limelight" and is "ruthlessly analyzed under the world's largest microscope".
Lady Louise Windsor, eldest daughter and only daughter of Prince Edward and Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, has, by her own choice, rarely been in the public eye. [After seeing her cousins Prince William and Prince Harry and their respective spouses endure a life in the spotlight, I can see why being private is appealing. (She wore the same Susanna London dress she wore to last year's coronation, tied in a bow.)
Louise will retain the title of Princess and the title "Her Royal Highness the Princess," to be used at her discretion when she turns 18 in 2021. Until now, Louise has avoided using the title of Princess. The Daily Express reports that Louise is "trying to stay out of the royal limelight" and avoid "the world's biggest microscope" while living her university life. She is a student at the University of St. Andrews, yes, the place where William met Kate Middleton in 2001, studying English literature.
"Lady Louise is likely to know that she will be analyzed relentlessly under the world's biggest microscope - her looks and relationships," public relations expert Alison Lancaster told GB News of why Louise will never be an active royal. Every candid moment is a potential PR bonfire."
Just last weekend, Louise, 16th in line to the throne, was photographed with her rumored boyfriend, Felix da Silva-Crump, while attending the Sandringham Horse Driving Trial at the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk! Da Silva-Krump is a very popular and well-liked figure in the world of horse driving. Da Silva-Krump was a classmate of Louise's at St. Andrews and was seen jumping on Louise's carriage with a big smile on his face, "Hello" reports. Da Silva-Camp spent time with Louise's mother, Sophie, and "Felix and the Duchess were very relaxed." They drove up 10 minutes before Louise's first event and watched her intently."
[8As an example of why Louise has so far avoided the spotlight, her interaction with Da Silva-Camp was analyzed by the magazine. The two chatted and looked at each other the whole time. In between her two events, they went for a few walks together. They are obviously very close."
Having inherited her passion for carriage driving from her late grandfather, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh (a title now held by Louise's father), Louise competed in her first Sandringham trial.
Of Louise and her brother James, Earl of Wessex, 16, Louise's mother Sophie once told The Times. 'We have therefore decided not to use the HRH title; we could use it from the age of 18, but I think that is unlikely.'
