Tina Knowles is thrilled for her granddaughter, Blue Ivy Carter, who won BET

Tina Knowles is a proud grandmother.

On Sunday, Tina's eldest granddaughter, Blue Ivy Carter, was celebrated with the grand prize at the BET Awards. The 12-year-old daughter of Beyonce and Jay-Z received the Young Stars Award for Outstanding Young Entertainer.

"Congrats my Blue Blue!" !" wrote Tina on Instagram. Tina wrote on Instagram.

"I marvel at your talent, beauty, and intelligence, but I am most proud of your kindness and down-to-earth attitude. Never seek attention and always be cool and calm."

Tina went on to praise Blue's many talents, including sports, piano, painting, and dancing, and said she has an "angelic voice."

She concluded her sweet message by saying, "Congratulations, BIC, and thank you for this honor, BET #betawards."

She added, "I am so proud of you.

Blue Ivy was joined by Akira Akbar of Bel Air, Demi Singleton of Deliverance, performer heiress Diana Harris, Jabria McCallum of Abbott Elementary, Jalyn Hall of The Crossover, Percy Jackson's Leah Jeffries, along with rapper Van Van, were nominated in the same category.

The girl's mother, Beyonce, also won the Viewer's Choice Award that night for "Texas Hold 'Em."

At only 12 years old, Blue is already an award-winning artist. At this year's BETs, she was nominated ostensibly for her appearance in the upcoming film Mufasa: The Lion King, in which she voices Kiara.

Director Barry Jenkins previously commented on the dynamic between Bee and Blue on the set of the film, "Beyoncé is such a big presence, but when she's working with her daughter, when she's in the room with her daughter, she is a mother first. A lot of that energy is exuded in this film"

Blue has already won a BET, which she received in 2020 with her mother, Saint June and Wizkid, for the song "Brown Skin Girl." She also won a VMA and a Grammy for the music video for the song.

As for Tina, she is the grandmother of Solange Knowles' son Daniel Jules J. Smith Jr. (age 19) and Beyoncé's twins Rumi and Sir Carter (age 7),

as well as the grandmother of Beyoncé's daughter, Ruth (age 11).
