Producer of "The Bachelorette" reacts to a scene in which a fan discovers two rats: "Everyone has the right to find love!"
The producers of The Bachelorette have a great sense of humor about one of the show's hilarious mishaps.
After the season premiere of the reality dating show aired on Monday, fans immediately noticed an unfortunate moment: while Bachelorette Jen Tran was meeting with one of her suitors, Sam N., two mice crossed the screen. Incidentally, the show's producers seem to agree.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the producer said, "You'll notice there were two. Everyone deserves to find love!" And frankly, that's really true.
Tran was cast as the franchise's 21st Bachelorette after appearing on season 28 of The Bachelor, starring Joey Graziadei. She is currently making history as the first Asian American woman to lead a reality series, which means a lot to her.
Speaking to NBC News, Tran made it clear why it is so important to her that her cultural background is at the center of the show, including the appearance of her mother and brother.
"What really struck me was seeing my own family on TV. 'They're showing my Vietnamese culture, they're showing Vietnamese food. And my mother speaks Vietnamese. ...... I've always been familiar with those things, but it was always just in my home, so I'm really excited that it's on TV and that it's normalized for other people to be able to experience it."
Can't wait to see what happens in the new season.
