Blake Lively Says Being Called a Woman "Crown Straight" May Be the Best Compliment of Her Life

Blake Lively plays many roles in her life: wife, mother, actress, entrepreneur, and friend, but according to People, being called a female "crown straightener" may be "the best compliment of my life."

Yesterday, Lively shared a carousel of behind-the-scenes images at a screening of the upcoming film "It Ends With Us," based on the 2016 book of the same name by Colleen Hoover. In the photos, Lively can be seen helping co-star Isabella Ferrer with her wardrobe and hoover, "and she had some emotional words about how much helping other women means to her," People wrote.

In Lively's own words: "After this weekend, I got the best compliment of my life. Someone on social called me a 'crown straightener.'" She said, 'A woman who goes around straightening the crowns of the women around her.' That meant so much to me.

The long caption continued." Lively wrote, "I learned from all the women in my life, blood and chosen, that we are all shining leaders and that together we are stronger. 'I am surrounded by Crown Straight. This past weekend alone was filled with the energy of these empowering women." She added, "When I looked back at these pictures I saw it all in action. And I felt so lucky and loved."

And Lively added that women like Ferrer, Hoover, and her mother-in-law, Tammy Reynolds, and "the men who show up for us. We love you."

In IT ENDS WITH US, Lively's character Lily moves to a new city after college and falls in love with a man named Lyle, played by Justin Baldoni (who also directs). People writes, "But when her high school sweetheart comes back into her life, a twist of fate ensues."

The film opens in theaters on August 9.
