Apparently, as Marie Claire has reported in the past, all (well, at least many) senior female royals prefer to wear blue, and according to Tatler, Queen Camilla's dresser, Jackie Meekin, is "gradually unraveling her grip on who can wear blue" at the same time as the queen is being unraveled," the magazine reported.

Meekin "relaxed" the rules on who could wear similar shades to the queen during royal functions "after encountering problems with other stylists over the color blue," the magazine reported.

The Duchess of Wales and the Duchess of Edinburgh also reportedly prefer to wear the shade.

Camilla, the oldest woman in the royal family, can choose her outfits before others, the Daily Express reported, and Meekin was initially too strict at Buckingham Palace about who else could wear Camilla's preferred blue with her and "ruffle removed."
