Jennifer Garner has become an "unexpected ally" for Jennifer Lopez, who is reportedly having marital problems with Ben Affleck.

"Jennifer is helpful to J.Lo and they help each other," a source told Us Weekly." Jennifer has been a surprising talking point for J.Lo."

Lopez and Affleck have been hit with an avalanche of divorce rumors in recent weeks, and of course Garner is divorcing Affleck in 2018 (they split around 2015), so we can at least partly relate.

It's unclear what exactly the two Jennifers' friendship is, but we do know that Lopez recently attended Violet Affleck's graduation party at the "13 Going on 30" star's house.

On the other hand, Garner also seems to be a big supporter of Affleck these days.

Divorce rumors began to emerge in mid-May after Lopez's solo attendance at the Met Gala, which she co-chaired. Sources told "In Touch" and "Us Weekly" magazines at the time that the couple was having marital problems and had been separated for some time.

Since then, they have reportedly put the couple's house on the market just a year after purchasing it and are rarely seen together.

Recently, Lopez vacationed with friends in the Hamptons over the July 4 weekend, while Affleck remained in Los Angeles.

In early July, sources claimed to Page Six that the Bennifer marriage "has been over for months," but the JLO Beauty founder and Gone Girl star has yet to publicly address the rumors.

Affleck and Lopez rekindled their romance in 2021, 17 years after they split in 2004; they married in 2022; they have been married since 1983; and they have been married since 1985.
