Kate Hudson admitted that Matthew McConaughey does not wear deodorant.

During a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, the “Bride Wars” actress was asked by a viewer.

“No!” Hudson exclaimed, “No, he doesn't wear deodorant. And by the way, I don't either.” [The actress continued, “No.” No, I mean I can smell him from a mile away.

She concluded.

Apparently, it was McConaughey himself who started the rumor. According to the Daily Mail, he told Playboy magazine around the time the film was released that Hudson tried very hard to convince him to hide his natural scent as much as possible.

“She always brought a salt rock, which is a natural deodorant, and I said, 'Would you put this on? ' I've never put one on. No cologne, no deodorant.

He continued. 'Every woman in my life, including my mother, has said to me, “Hey, your natural smell is one, a man's smell, and two, yours.”'

So apparently the actor has not worn deodorant for about 30 years.

It is unclear which one is telling the truth, but whoever it is, the two actors seem to have remained great friends over the years. In addition to Fool's Gold, Hudson and McConaughey are also famous for co-starring in the 2003 cult romance film How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.
