Justin Long once pooped in bed while his wife, Kate Bosworth, was lying in bed.

On the “PIE” podcast with Kurt Sutter and Kate Sagal, Long recalled getting food poisoning during a service trip to Mexico City.

The story came as Long described his longstanding fear of public bathrooms and how quickly he had to overcome it when he got food poisoning while away from home.

“I was hooked up to an IV and [Bosworth] had to follow me to the bathroom with it.

“I just, really, comically, unpacked and, uh, woke up one time that night and I ...... There's no other way to say it. There's no other way to say it. I shit the bed. I shit the bed and she was in the bed. And I had to face all of these horrors.

Despite the less than ideal circumstances, Long remembers how patient Bosworth was with him through this event and has come to appreciate her presence in his life.

“I said, 'I love this person. I'm very grateful for this person. ' She never judged me, never made me feel weird, never made me feel bad, I just felt so lucky.”

The couple visited Mexico City in June with Smile Train, a charity that supports children with cleft lip and palate.

Long and Bosworth began dating in 2021 and have been married since 2023, according to People. The “Straw Dogs” actress was married to Michael Polish from 2013 to 2021, but this is the first marriage for the “New Girl” actor.
