Lisa Kudrow Says Sandra Bullock Once Called Her “Phoebe

For an actor like Lisa Kudrow, shaking off a well-known role is no ordinary feat.

“Friends” star Lisa Kudrow is best known for playing the eccentric Phoebe Buffay on the cult sitcom. But it's not just passing fans who find TV and real life a bit confusing.

When she recently appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live, guest Anthony Anderson cut to the chase with his first question: “Do people call you ‘Phoebe’ a lot?”

Immediately, Kudrow exclaimed, “Oh, my God!”

Then she launched into an anecdote about the block. She said, “I love this: at a big party, I talked to Sandra Bullock. I have to say it by name, but it's true. [She called me “Phoebe.” She called me Phoebe!” [Kudlow continued. She said, 'What did I just do?

Kudrow played Phoebe, one of the six friends on Friends, for ten years, from 1994 to 2004.

She was part of the main cast along with Jennifer Aniston, David Schwimmer, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, and the late Matthew Perry, who died last October at the age of 54.

In November, Kudrow paid tribute to her friends, writing on Instagram, “Thank you for the best 10 years. Thank you for trusting me. Knowing you has taught me so much about courage and love. Thank you, Matthew, for the time I've had with you."

The actress also wrote on Instagram, ”Thank you for the time I've had with you, Matthew.

The actress appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live to promote her latest project, a television show titled Time Bandits, which will premiere on Apple TV+ on July 24.

Recently, while promoting the new show, Kudrow clarified Jennifer Aniston's claim that she disliked audience laughter during the filming of “Friends.” 'It irritated me when they laughed for too long,' she told Entertainment Tonight. 'They were so excited to be there that sometimes they laughed longer than they laughed at anything else.'

If I (as in “Time Bandits!) If I could somehow travel back in time and see a live recording of “Friends,” I'm sad to say it would definitely be me. Can you imagine?
