Country Star Supports Ingrid Andres After She Announces National Anthem Controversy and Rehab

Ingrid Andres has responded emotionally to a recent performance of the national anthem that caused a stir online.

In an Instagram post on Wednesday, country singer Ingrid Andres wrote, “I was drunk last night. Entering the facility today to get the help I need. I wasn't me last night and I apologize to MLB, all my fans, and this country I love so much. I hear rehab is super fun and I'll keep you posted.”

Andres, best known for his single “More Hearts Than Mine,” sang the national anthem at the Major League Baseball Home Run Derby in Arlington, Texas, on Monday night.

The video quickly went viral, with online commenters criticizing the performance and comparing it to Fergie's 2018 “Star Spangled Banner” performance, which is often called “the worst anthem performance.”

Prior to his performance in Arlington, Andres detailed his recent struggles in an e-mail newsletter, as reported by People. He wrote: “I had to part ways with some people who helped me make a name for myself. I am not a doctor. ......” She wrote.

She continued. 'I was the most depressed I had ever been and decided to move back to Colorado where I grew up. Sometimes just spending a few hours in your hometown is enough to remind you of who you are and make you proud of who you've become."

She also wrote: ”I'm not a doctor.

Andres wrote these words before the release of his new single, “Colorado 9,” which will be released on July 24.
