In Portman's latest project, “Lady in the Lake,” premiering Friday on Apple TV+, she stars as Maddie, “a 1960s housewife who works as a reporter and is determined to get to the bottom of an unsolved murder,” Entertainment Tonight reports.

“She's in a tunnel of her own desire, like she's blind to everything around her,” Portman said of her character.
