In June, Prince William took Prince George and Princess Charlotte to see Taylor Swift's Eras tour performance at Wembley Stadium in London. The royal trio was lucky enough to meet Swift backstage, where she took a sweet selfie with them. Swift's boyfriend, NFL star Travis Kelce, was also in the iconic photo, which was shared on social media. For Travis and his brother Jason Kelcey, the encounter with the British royal family was quite the culture shock.

In a new episode of their podcast New Heights, Travis opened up about what really happened backstage at the concert. 'We met the royalty,' he said. That's right, there was royalty at the show.” As for what Prince William was really like, Travis offered an interesting description of the royalty. He continued, “He was so cool!” He continued.

There was a certain casualness to the meeting, as it was a casual event, not an official royal occasion. However, Travis said he was nervous before meeting the royal family. 'George and Charlotte were with me, and I really enjoyed meeting them. I didn't know if I was going to bow and curtsy to them or just be an American idiot and shake their hands.”

Jason confirmed that he did not have to “bow or curtsy” when he met the prince and his two children. As Jason explained on the podcast, “If it had been an official royal meet-and-greet kind of event, it would have been.” But I still called him 'Your Highness. But I still called him 'Your Highness. And I did. It was the closest I've ever been.”

It seems the royal family enjoyed Swift's Eras tour as much as Kelseth did. A source told “Entertainment Tonight” that Princess Charlotte is a huge Swift fan and was incredibly excited to see the singer perform.

“Princess Charlotte is the big Taylor Swift fan in the family. She's been wanting to go to concerts for months, but with her mother undergoing treatment for cancer, it was really special to be able to celebrate her dad's birthday this way.”
