Prince William reportedly ignores phone calls, emails, and messages from Prince Harry
Prince Harry has reportedly sent his estranged brother Prince William numerous phone calls, emails, and messages to no avail.
According to sources who spoke exclusively to People magazine for its latest cover story, Prince Harry has ignored his brother's attempts to contact him and is trying to communicate in some form.
The rift between the two siblings is "very bad," the royal source said, then insisted that while it is undeniable that their relationship is strained, it is not "irreparable."
Sources also told People that Prince Charles, like Prince William, has ignored calls and texts from Prince Harry.
"He gets told, 'I can't take it right now,'" a friend close to the Duke of Sussex told the magazine. 'He won't take calls from Prince Harry. He's trying to get in touch with the king about his health, but he's not answering those calls either."
In addition, according to sources who spoke to People, the King has not responded to Prince Harry's repeated requests for help regarding the safety of his children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
"Harry is terrified and feels that the only person who can do anything is his father," a royal source told the magazine. Another source added that the Duke of Sussex is "determined to protect his family at all costs."
According to other sources close to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle wants Prince Harry to "let go" of the security lawsuit, which has undoubtedly spurred overall tension and rifts among senior members of the royal family.
"She wants him to be free of all of this, but she also knows that because of everything he has been through and his love (for her and their children), he cannot," the couple's former employee at the Archwell Foundation, the latest cover of this book story, told People in an exclusive interview for the story.
"She wants him to live in a world where he is not burdened by this," the source added.
Recently, some of Princess Diana's private letters about her two sons were sold at auction. The letter detailed how close the two brothers once were.
Royal photographer Arthur Edwards told The Sun what Princess Diana had said about her son's close bond and what she might have thought about their now estranged relationship had she been alive today.
"They were very close," Edwards told the magazine. 'I mean, they did everything together. They were inseparable. It's not that kind of relationship anymore."
