Cardi B Announces Pregnancy of Third Child After Filing for Divorce from Husband Offset
Cardi B. is becoming a mom for the third time!
On Thursday, August 1, the rapper, who had just filed for divorce from her husband, Offset, the rapper from the group Migos, announced that she is pregnant and expecting her third child.
"With every ending comes a new beginning! I am so grateful to have shared this season with all of you. You all have renewed me with more love, more life, and most of all, more power to me!" Cardi B wrote the touching caption, accompanied by two photos of the rapper posing on a balcony in a red silk robe that accentuated her pregnant belly.
"You remind me that I can have it all! You reminded me that I don't have to choose between life, love, or passion!" she continued in the caption. 'I can't wait for you to see what I've accomplished because of you and what you've pushed me to do! It's so easy to indulge in life's twists and turns and trials, but you, your brother, and your sister have shown me why it's worth it to push through!"
She continued.Her joyful announcement came on the heels of news that she and Offset are headed for divorce, as reported by Page Six. According to the magazine, Cardi has filed for a second divorce from her estranged husband and is seeking primary custody of their two children, son Wave Set and daughter Kulture Chiari.
In December 2023, the rapper confirmed she was single via Instagram Live, in which she admitted she had not been in a relationship "for a little while now," People reported at the time.
"I don't know how to tell the world," she continued. But I feel like today was the sign."
Cardi B met Offset and the two began dating in 2017. That same year, they married, and soon after, in 2018, Cardi B gave birth to their first child.
In May, the soon-to-be mother of three told Rolling Stone magazine that she and Offset were "in love," before adding, "It's not even about love."
"We each have our bad points. We come from two different worlds. It's not that I can't be a wife. My career dictates my life."
"My career comes first, my children come second. And sometimes I don't realize that I am putting so many things before my relationship."

"Not many artists had babies early in their careers. When I found out I was pregnant, I didn't have an album out. Everyone was nervous about my career and my future, but I told them, 'It's easy, I'm a mother. Trust me, I have a nanny and she will travel up and down with me. It won't even be a hassle."
"When my baby was born, I was afraid to hire a sitter because I was afraid to have someone outside of my family around my baby.
