Prince William and Princess Kate gave "immense comfort" before the Queen's death.

On September 8, 2022, Queen Elizabeth II died at her home in Balmoral, Scotland. According to a new book by royal family expert Robert Jobson, Prince William and Princess Kate helped the Queen to feel "immense peace" before her death for very important reasons.

In "The Princess of Wales: a Biography of Catherine," a series of articles by the Daily Mail, Jobson explains that " As the Queen's power weakened, it brought her immense comfort to know that the monarchy would be entrusted to the next two generations." After the queen's death, her eldest son Charles became king. He was succeeded by Prince William, and Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton became known as the Prince and Princess of Wales. As a result, the queen may have found that the monarchy was in the hands of the family.

Jobson wrote candidly of the Queen's final days, describing the reality of her diagnosis of bone marrow cancer as follows. The Queen's health deteriorated rapidly over the next three months. She battled severely with failing eyesight and even had difficulty lifting the teapot to fill her cup."

One source described some of the difficulties the Queen faced after her diagnosis, telling Jobson: "She had to be careful not to make a mess. He continued, "She hated to make a mess and was terribly irritable, hanging things on trays."

The year 2024 brought the devastating news that King Charles III and Princess Kate were both diagnosed with cancer. In July, however, the Princess of Wales attended Wimbledon with her daughter Princess Charlotte, and royal fans rejoiced at her return to the public stage.

Jobson also detailed the important influence Princess Kate had on the monarchy, especially Prince William. Princess Kate] is someone who always tries to see both sides of any conflict," a source told the royal author. She is calm and "emotionally mature."
