Ben Affleck reportedly has a new home without Jennifer Lopez.

TMZ first reported that the actor had closed escrow on a luxury mansion in Pacific Palisades, paying a whopping $20.5 million for it.

Still, it is a downgrade for Affleck, whose marital home with Lopez is currently on the market for a whopping $68 million. [The father of three's new home apparently boasts five bedrooms and six bathrooms, plus a guest house, media room, walk-in closet, and other celebrity-worthy amenities.

This real estate news comes as rumors of Affleck and Lopez's divorce snowball. The still-unconfirmed reports gained momentum in May, and since then the two have rarely been seen together, spending most of their summers on separate coasts and even on different continents. Affleck reportedly moved out of their shared house a few weeks ago and rented a house in Los Angeles.

News broke that the couple had put their home, which they had just purchased last year, on the market in early June, and the listing was released earlier this month. The home was even nicer than the Afflecks' new purchase, with 80 parking spaces and 24 bathrooms.

Real estate agent Josh Flagg told People, "Generally, people don't sell their primary residence a year after purchase unless there is a divorce, death, or some sort of desperation. I would also (guess) that they are not going to profit from this. They will either break even or take a small loss."

Some reports acknowledge that the couple's decision to sell the house is not necessarily a sign of impending doom for their marriage, but Affleck's new purchase is not the most positive sign. Meanwhile, TMZ reports that Lopez is also in the process of purchasing a new home.
