Princess Kate and Prince William are "gradually" introducing Prince George to the throne and royal life.
Prince William and Kate Middleton have reportedly begun preparing their son, Prince George, to one day sit on the throne.
According to royal expert and author Robert Jobson, the Prince and Princess are "gradually" introducing their 11-year-old son to the senior royal lifestyle.
"[They] don't want to scare their son," Jobson, author of the new biography "Princess Catherine," told Us Weekly in an exclusive interview.
"I think it was very important that he played that role as a page boy at the king's coronation," Jobson said of George, adding that his parents are now "in a press situation" so that he can better understand the pressure and scrutiny that often comes with being a member of the monarchy He added that they are intentionally including him in the "the press.
"It made him realize the grandeur and all the expectations," Jobson added.
"I think that was very important to George."Jobson believes that now that Prince William is preparing his son to one day become King of England, he is "looking back at his own childhood."
"It doesn't necessarily scare George away from spending more time with his grandfather, who is actually working," Jobson told the magazine.
According to Ingrid Sward, a royal biographer and editor-in-chief of Majesty magazine, the crown prince and princess are intentionally raising their first son in a different way when compared to Prince William's upbringing. [Prince William and Princess Kate have always been wary of exposing their children to public view. Prince William has painful memories of his childhood and dislikes the persistent attention," Sward recently told the Mirror. 'Prince George's public introduction to royal life was a gentle beginning. Kate and William planned it that way and will continue to do so."
If reports are to be believed, Prince George did not know his fate as the future King of England until recently.
"William has not revealed to the public when or how he told his son the big news," says royal historian and biographer Robert Lacey, author of The Battle of the Brothers: William and Harry-The Inside Story of a Family in Tumult," royal historian and biographer Robert Lacey, author of The Family in Tumult, told the Mirror in 2022.
"Maybe George will tell the story himself someday," Lacey continued. But it is believed that in the summer of 2020, around the time of the boy's seventh birthday, his parents explained in more detail what the little prince's future life of "service and duty" would be like in particular."
According to Lacey, Prince William and Princess Kate specifically chose that time to inform their son of his future so that Prince George would not be "confused by accidental knowledge" and to create "a controlled moment of their choosing."
