Selena Gomez's summer wardrobe is heavy on LWDs (little white dresses), and her latest date night outfit was a variation on that theme.

In an Instagram story, Gomez posted a bathroom mirror selfie wearing a champagne lamé midi dress with drop shoulders and a ruffle on one side. The rare beauty maven, singer, and actress matched her sandal pinwheels perfectly with the soft, gold-toned hue of the gown.

"Night out," she wrote on the photo, along with a heart emoji. (If you look closely, the heart hides her ring finger. (Have it your way). Behind her, Gomez's boyfriend, Benny Blanco, is doing his own "fit check" in a white ribbed tank top, blue and pink floral pants, and no shoes.

This look falls under her season of white and cream color palette. Last month, for a vacation photo shoot with Blanco, Gomez wore a white Free People strapless maxi dress with a white elastic headband and covered in fruit and bird paintings. Prior to the vacation, she took LWD in a more buttoned-up direction.

At Cannes, Gomez embraced the office siren trend by coordinating a white knit peplum mini dress with a top handle bag. Later in the season, she attended a conference in the perfect summer work dress. A pure white Banana Republic silk linen wrap dress was paired with a Frankie Shop Sal trench coat and a white patent leather high heel slingback from Santoni.

Gomez's white-on-white monochrome look is certainly on trend. But perhaps last night's color story points to a pivot covered in sparkle as her relationship heats up in the public eye and she prepares for the release of the new season of Only Murder in the Building.
