Prince Harry and Meghan Markle 'desperate' to heal rift with royal family

Four years have passed since Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced their intention to step down as senior royals. Since then, the couple has moved to Montecito, California, to raise their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. But royal fans continue to wonder whether Meghan and Harry will be able to repair the rift with the royal family that their decision has caused.

In a new article, Richard Eden, a royal expert for the Daily Mail, suggested that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex may be ready to repair some of their fractured family relationship. One former employee told the magazine, "It seems clear that they are desperate to heal the rift." Eden further claimed that Meghan and Harry may be particularly eager to mend fences with the royal family for the U.S. election scheduled for 2024.

In a recent interview with GB News, Eric Trump went into the relationship between the royal family and Meghan and Harry. He said, "I would be happy with those two [Meghan and Harry], maybe I don't need them anymore. There is a villain in everything. There are rotten apples in every orchard. Eric is not the first member of the Trump family to imply that Meghan and Harry are not necessarily welcome in the United States.

Donald Trump previously suggested in an interview reported by GB News that Prince Harry's admission of taking drugs in his memoir spare could affect his U.S. visa status. As a result, Eden suggested that Prince Harry and Princess Meghan may need the royal family as an ally if their visas are investigated because of the prince's drug exposure.

Of course, there is no evidence that the prince's residence in the United States is in question. As to whether Meghan and Harry really want to mend fences with their royal relatives, that remains to be seen.
