The relationship between Prince William and Prince Harry has been difficult in recent years, with some reports suggesting that by 2024 their bond will be at an "all-time low." Unfortunately, new reports suggest that Harry and William's relationship may be even worse.

As Prince Harry's 40th birthday approaches on September 15, Closer reports that he will be entitled to a trust fund established by the Queen Mother. Both William and Harry benefit from a trust fund totaling 14 million pounds ($17.7 million), and the Mirror previously reported that the Queen Mother has set aside a large portion of the fund for Harry in recognition of the fact that Prince William will one day become king. However, according to one source, the Crown Prince is not exactly pleased that Harry will soon be in possession of such a large amount of cash.

"William is pretty bummed that once again Harry is going to get his hands on so much money and bring home millions of dollars to his Montecito home without lifting a finger to do so," a source claimed to the magazine. There is nothing he can do about it except shake his head, but if it were up to him, Harry would never get this paycheck."

Sadly, the Closer's sources claimed that William was opposed to Harry eventually getting a portion of the trust fund. However, the funds belonged to the Prince, as they had been set aside by the Dowager Queen specifically for Harry's future.

The source elaborated, "William has made it known that he doesn't think his brother is in a position to get this windfall and thinks it's a pretty rotten situation."

In addition to Harry's alleged opposition to accessing the trust fund, the publication's sources claim that there is deep mistrust between the Prince and the Sussexes. The source suggested, "William and Kate don't trust Harry or Meghan one bit, so the idea that Harry is cashing in on his great-grandmother's inheritance leaves a very bitter taste in their mouths." It is unclear how accurate this particular source is, but it seems certain that Harry and William's relationship will be difficult to repair.
