Princess Eugenie leaves Portugal for the UK to "live permanently"
Princess Eugenie is reportedly considering a big move in the near future. Princess Eugenie and her family currently travel between London and Portugal. However, it appears that Eugenie is seriously considering a permanent move to the UK.
Eugenie tied the knot with Jack Brooksbank on October 12, 2018, in St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle. Following their marriage, Eugenie and Brooksbank had two sons (August Philip Hawk Brooksbank, born February 9, 2021, and Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank, born May 30, 2023).
In June 2022, the Express reported that Brooksbank had secured a Portugal-based job working for George Clooney's business partner, Mike Meldman. Brooksbank's role will reportedly be to work as a brand ambassador for Costa Terra Golf & Ocean Club, a resort on the Portuguese coast.
However, according to a new report in the Express, Princess Eugenie is ready to return home immediately.
A source claimed to the magazine that "Eugenie is adamant that she wants to return to England on a more permanent basis and use her villa in Portugal as a holiday home."
Eugenie, who has two young children, misses her close family, including her sister Princess Beatrice and her mother Sarah Ferguson. Sources say of Brooksbank and Eugenie, "They are very close to their families and they all like to spend lots of quality time with their children."
The Express also noted that Brooksbank's own company has been incredibly successful, meaning they can be financially independent. Sources claimed that "Jack's success has given him the freedom to travel between the two countries and provide his sons with a loving, close-knit family unit."
Eugenie and Brooksbank's children also played a major role in their decision to move to England, where they will attend school. The source explained, "They are currently spending a lot of time in Portugal and as the boys get a little older they are looking for a kindergarten closer to home in London and eventually a school in England." Perhaps by returning to the UK, Eugenie will take on a larger role in the royal family.
