Jonathan Owens Proud of Simone Biles' Olympic Performance: "My Wife is a Warrior"

Jonathan Owens is married to the GOAT and he knows it.

Owens represented his team, the Chicago Bears, at a press conference on Tuesday, where he was asked about supporting his gymnastics champion wife at the Paris Olympics and praised her.

In particular, he cited Simone Biles's calf injury early in the competition and spoke of his admiration for her, who still performed at an incredible level.

"Her resilience, and when she decided to come back, she did everything she set her mind to. And obviously the first day with a little injury to her calf, and her ability to endure that and get out there and still dominate, just to be able to witness the workouts that you go through every day, is just amazing to watch," Owens, seen in video footage shared by the Bears on X

Owens said as seen in the video footage shared by the Bears on X.

The football safety continued. 'The pain tolerance and the way she was able to go out there and, like I said, look graceful in everything. People didn't know what was going on. I am just so happy and proud for her."

In another part of the interview, Owens further says of Biles, "She is a very good person. I am just overjoyed for her, for all that she has accomplished and as the face of gymnastics. She has become the most decorated American gymnast of all time.

At the Olympics in Paris, Biles certainly "dominated," as Owens put it, bringing home three gold medals and one silver.

Earlier, Owens caused controversy in December with some comments in which he claimed to be the "catch" in their relationship. This led to widespread criticism of him by Biles' fans, which unfortunately had a major impact on the gymnast.

On the podcast Call Her Daddy in April, Biles told host Alex Cooper about the aftermath of Owens' comments, "He's a very nice guy. But I think he's a very sweet guy. He compliments the ground I walk on. Really, I've never met a man like him."

She added: "He's a very nice man. He said he was a catch. I have never met a man like him. A lot of people who meet him say, 'Oh my God, I want a man like that, like Jonathan.'"

She added, "I've never met a man like him."

She also explained that she was "heartbroken" by the backlash and has since continued to defend Owens from critics.
