Elizabeth Debicki Says “The Crown” Ended Up in the “Right Place

Fans of Netflix's hit show “The Crown” may disagree, but Elizabeth Debicki, who played the late Princess Diana in the last two seasons, believes the show should never have continued.

In an exclusive interview with People, the Emmy-nominated actress said she thinks the show “ended up in the right place.”

“I think in a way I respected my cycle,” she told the magazine.

“And I think there was a sense from [creator] Peter Morgan's script that, in a way, he understood his own end. I think it's very sensitive.”

The actress further praised Morgan's “amazing work” in “concluding such a huge journey” after the sixth and final season.

“I don't really like the word journey, but it's been a huge journey for people,” she continued. She added, “When you commit to watching a show for six seasons, you have to make sure it ends properly.”

When it comes to the final season of the hit show, which had the difficult task of taking on the last days of the life of the late Crown Princess, who tragically died in a car crash in 1997, Debicki believes the show was “very respectful.” [...] [...] [...] [...] [...] [...] [...] [...] [...] [...] [...] [...] [...] [...] [...] [...] [...]
