Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Meet Colombia's Invictus Games Team on High Profile Trip
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle paid a special visit to athletes on a high-profile trip to Colombia.
On Friday, August 16, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited the Centro de Rehabilitación Inclusiva and toured the swimming pool, rock climbing gym, and rehabilitation area while meeting Colombia's Invictus Games team.
Prince Harry founded this Paralympic-style sporting event in 2014 to honor and support wounded, injured, and ill veterans, and also attended a volleyball match.
The royal was joined by Vice President Fancia Marquez's partner, Rafael Ernie Pinillo, and Marquez and Markle cheered them on, “People” reported.
“It's amazing that so many people can come together to form one team,” said Prince Harry as he toured the facility, talking to the athletes about their favorite exercises and the training they do to maintain their strength and stamina.
“They are all incredible to watch,” added Markle, who was also amazed by the athletes as well.
