Meghan Markle and Prince Harry flex their linguistic muscles during a high-profile visit to Colombia.

On Friday, August 16, the second day of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's visit to South America, the couple visited a local school where they spoke to students about the importance of social-emotional learning and why it should be part of a child's education.

During the visit, Markle spoke to a class of kindergarteners in Spanish and told one child that he had at least one thing in common with her son, Archie.

“He's the same age as my son Archie!” the Duchess said to her children while speaking Spanish, People reported. Prince Harry and Markle are also the proud parents of a daughter, Lilibet.

According to one person who witnessed the royal couple's visit, Markle was rather proficient when it came to testing her Spanish skills.

“She spoke Spanish perfectly with one young woman,” Father Greg Boyle, who works for Homeboy Industries, which helps people return to life and the workforce after incarceration or gang involvement, told People.

“She went right into Spanish, which was amazing.

On the first day of their visit, the couple also stressed the importance of learning about and practicing personal online safety, especially as cyberbullying is on the rise and more young people are having suicidal thoughts as a result.

During their visit to Bogota, Colombia, they participated in a panel discussion titled “Pathways to a Responsible Digital Future” with Colombian Vice President Francia Marquez and Rappler co-founder and CEO and Nobel Peace Prize winner Maria Ressa.

“At the Arcewell Foundation, my wife and I believe that integrity of information is a fundamental right,” Prince Harry said during the discussion, as reported by People.

“As long as people are allowed to spread lies and abuse, social cohesion as we know it has completely broken down.

Markle, of course, has also focused on fashion during her high-profile visit. On her first day, she wore a tailored vest and coordinating pants by California-based Veronica Beard. She also wore a Johanna Ortiz cut-out dress and flaunted a color-coordinated white manicure.

According to initial reports in Harper's Bazaar, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will spend the week holding various sessions with community leaders on digital literacy and online safety. In addition, they will attend an event highlighting Colombia's music, dance, and theater culture.
