How Princess Diana's Hairstylist Convinced Her to Cut All Her Hair
Princess Diana has had some of the most memorable fashion moments in the royal family. Not only did Princess Diana always wear casual styles, but she also inspired women to cut their hair short; at her wedding to Prince Charles in 1981, Princess Diana wore her hair a little longer, but by 1990 she wanted a change. According to hairstylist Sam McKnight, Princess Diana did not take much convincing to drastically change her hairstyle.
When Diana met McKnight on the set of a Vogue photo shoot, she hit it off with him and asked him some very pertinent questions. At the end of the day, after the shoot was over, she said, “You know what? What would you do with my hair if I said, “Do whatever you want?” McKnight told Jonathan Van Ness on the podcast Pretty Curious (via People). 'It was 1990. I'd cut it all out and start all over again.'"
McKnight said that he would ”cut it all out and start all over again.
