Patrick Mahomes says he has Taylor Swift to thank for Travis Kelce's new bushy head of hair.

Appearing on SiriusXM NFL Radio on August 13, the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback explained that he had been trying all week to get his friend Kelcey to stop wearing such a short bald fade haircut every week, though he was unable to convince him, He said that his tight end girlfriend was able to convince him right away.

“I've been trying to get him to grow his hair out, and all of a sudden Taylor made him do it,” Mahomes jokingly complained during a Tuesday radio appearance (via People). [But meanwhile, he showed up to football training camp in July with his annual mustache.

Even if what Mahomes says is true, the fact that Swift influenced Kelce to grow his hair longer does not mean she did not like his short hair.

Patrick Regan, the NFL's professional trusted barber, told Fox News a few months ago (i.e., before Kels' hair grew long), “Taylor loves the haircut. She has seen me cut his hair many times and always compliments me afterwards.”
