Prince Harry to miss uncle's funeral due to security concerns
Prince Harry will reportedly miss his uncle's funeral in the UK due to security concerns.
Lord Fellowes, brother-in-law of the late Princess Diana and uncle of Prince Harry and Prince William, died on July 29 at the age of 82.
Fellowes also served as assistant private secretary, deputy private secretary, and private secretary to the late Queen Elizabeth.
According to People, Prince Harry will not be able to attend his late uncle's funeral in person due to ongoing security threats. The magazine notes that since stepping down from official senior royalty and moving to California with his wife Meghan Markle and their two children, Prince Harry has been “stripped of his automatic security in the UK.”
Now, the duke must “inform authorities 28 days in advance of his travel plans to the UK,” the magazine added. Apparently, Prince Harry has not given such notice.
Unfortunately, this is not the first time Prince Harry has had to refuse to return home or even avoid certain areas or people due to security concerns.
