Prince Charles allegedly “feared” Prince Harry and always “preferred” Prince William.
Prince Harry, sadly, does not get along with his father Prince Charles or his brother Prince William. For example, earlier this year, one royal expert noted that Harry's relationship with Prince Charles is “terminally damaged” for a variety of reasons. And now, one royal writer suggests that the Duke of Sussex may have always been at a disadvantage in his relationship with his father.
Tom Quinn, the royal writer who wrote “Scandal in the Royal Court”: Harry's real complaint is that he is convinced that Prince Charles always preferred William. Quinn continued, “Harry's difficulties as a teenager and his growing instability as an adult terrified Charles, who chose the far more stable and risk-free William.”
As heir to the throne, Prince William apparently had to follow some pretty strict rules. Conversely, Prince Harry's teenage years were regularly reported. Quinn explains, “Prince Charles came to regard William as a safe pair and Harry as too emotionally unstable.” 'Harry knows this deep down and is deeply resentful.'
Unfortunately, relations between Prince Harry and his family have continued to deteriorate since his move to Los Angeles. Earlier this month, a source suggested that Prince William was “spiteful and angry” at his brother for speaking to the press about his late mother, Princess Diana. He's fed up with [the Sussex family] using Princess Diana's death,” a source told New Idea magazine (via Sky News Australia). The source claims, “Harry is unwilling to move on, and his obsession with his mother seems to have intensified since his marriage to Meghan.”
Another report claims that William was upset that Harry received a large inheritance from his late great-grandmother. Before her death, the Dowager Queen had created a trust fund for William and Harry so that they would each receive a large inheritance when they turned 40. A source told Closer in July, “William is quite disgusted that Harry is once again trying to take home millions of dollars in cash to his Montecito home without lifting a finger.” 'There is nothing he can do about it except shake his head, but if it were up to him, Harry wouldn't be getting this huge sum of money.'
